Morning ● Hands-on application. Install basic electrical system onto existing mock-up wall with wiring, jam box, switch leg, and energy-efficient light fixture. Afternoon ● Participants will build out a mock-up wall with envelope and electrical systems on their own with safety supervision.
Morning ● Reduction & Conservation: Using task and/or natural lighting, behavioral changes ● Upgrades & Retrofits: CFLs, LED Exit Signs, T8s & T5s, Liner LED (Tubes), high bay Fixture replacement, LED Packs, refrigeration LED lighting Afternoon ● Introduction to the hand-tools and power-tools for building's electrical system
Morning ● Perform a lighting audit using light meters and ballast detectors. Afternoon ● Understanding basic lighting Energy Conservation Strategies and Energy Conservation Measures, including use reduction, equipment upgrades, system controls & maintenance.
Morning ● Ballasts & ballast factors: electronic or magnetic and retrofit process. Afternoon ● Measuring Lighting Efficiency through Efficacy – Lamp & Fixture Efficacies.
Morning ● Understanding basic lighting principles in commercial buildings, including Lighting Output, Lighting Efficacy, Correlated Color Temperature (CCT), Color Rendering Index (CRI) Afternoon ● Understanding how to identify the different lighting types, technologies, sizes, system components, fixture types, mounts, and other relevant attributes
