The Boys’ Club of New York Announces Opening of New State-of-the-Art Clubhouse in the South Bronx

The Boys’ Club of New York (BCNY), one of the city’s oldest and most trusted youth-serving organizations, is proud to announce the opening of its newest clubhouse at 565 Morris Avenue in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the South Bronx. The new facility marks a major expansion of BCNY’s mission to empower boys and young men with the tools, opportunities, and support they need to succeed regardless of income, school, or ZIP code.

Founded in 1876, BCNY has transformed the lives of more than 1.2 million boys through safe, inspiring, and enriching spaces designed to foster confidence, competence, character, and connection. Today, with demand for youth programming at historic highs especially across communities facing systemic barriers the new clubhouse represents BCNY’s next bold step forward.

A New Hub of Opportunity in the South Bronx

BCNY’s new South Bronx clubhouse spans 33,000 square feet and features a sun-filled gymnasium, multipurpose classrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a hydroponics lab, dedicated arts and music spaces, an outdoor turf, and a variety of learning and wellness environments that nurture creativity, academic support, and community. Once fully activated, the clubhouse will allow BCNY to increase its reach and serve 5,500 boys annually.

The need in Mott Haven is significant. With 40 percent of local residents living in poverty and a median household income of 20,966 dollars, boys in the community face steep challenges including limited after school opportunities and some of the highest asthma rates in New York City. BCNY’s presence in the neighborhood will offer a transformative second home for young people who deserve safe spaces to learn, grow, and dream.

A Space Built for the Future

The new clubhouse was designed for today’s youth and tomorrow’s possibilities. From tech focused learning labs to expanded fitness, arts, enrichment, and leadership programs, the building is a launchpad for boys to explore passions, build confidence, and shape their futures.
