About BCNY Membership

A Community of Boys, Parents, and Passionate Teachers

The Boys Club of New York constantly has more than a thousand members participating in dozens of activities on any given day. To ensure each boy is surrounded by peers of the same age and has access to age-appropriate activities, BCNY members are divided into groups.

Grades 2-5: Abbe Explorers
(Flushing, Queens)

Explorers participate in fun and enriching sports, music, arts, and science programming at BCNY.

Grades 3-5: Gerry Explorers
(East Harlem)

Explorers participate in fun and enriching sports, music, arts, and science programming at BCNY.

Grades 6-8: Juniors

BCNY Juniors are well versed in clubhouse activities and become role models and mentors for their younger peers through our teen training programs. The focus of our Junior programming is self-discovery and academic achievement.

Grades 9-12 and Beyond: Teens

Having been surrounded by a culture of support, Teens are encouraged to focus on high school graduation, internships, and carving out the next chapter in their lives, through college, vocational training, military service, or job placement programs.

BCNY Alumni

Alumni are former BCNY members ages 21 and over. Boys’ Club alumni remain connected to our mission and values and return to speak at events to share how their BCNY experiences shaped who they became.

Join BCNY

Our mission is to make high-quality afterschool and weekend programming accessible to all boys in NYC. By joining our community, boys will benefit from a plethora of fun and engaging activities, seeing them through their teenage years and preparing them for life.
