Music as Empowerment 

BCNY’s first session of Project Podcast reflected on generations of artists that defined and changed America. Members discussed common emergent themes, such as resonating with a feeling of empowerment from these artists’ songs.  

Members and staff, coming from multiple generations of knowledge and insight, shared their thoughts around a central question: Do you think that music today represents what we see in America today? Why?
