The Boys’ Club of New York and the Westchester Knicks ended Black History Month with a night dedicated to those who left a distinguished mark on Black History. Players wore jerseys honoring Black History, courtesy of Yonkers Kia, that were auctioned off by fans, with the proceeds going to BCNY.
Our members got to run out onto the court with the players, be “anthem buddies” during the National Anthem with the Knicks and the Swarm, and five of our members read quotes from inspirational Black History Month heroes like Harriet Tubman, Dr. Mae Jemison, Thurgood Marshall, Booker T. Washington, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. from center-court.
