SNL at the Boys’ Club of New York
Saturdays
Middle Schoolers: 4:30pm – 6:30 pm
High Schoolers: 7:00pm – 9:00 pm
In partnership with Manhattan DA Cyrus R. Vance, Jr., the NYPD, and the Department of Youth and Community Development, BCNY’s Gerry Clubhouse hosts Saturday Night Lights (SNL), which provides New York City’s middle schoolers and high schoolers of all genders a safe, fun, and empowering space to hang out on Saturday evenings. The program’s mission is to engage East Harlem youth through basketball while building healthy and lifelong connections with their community and peers in a supportive environment.
While the main draw is basketball and ‘Skills and Drills’, Coach Amar’s signature basketball training, SNL is also an opportunity for community youth to access individualized resources. For example, teens can meet with case managers while exploring academic and career opportunities.
SNL regularly hosts a variety of special guest speakers who visit youth on-site to share guidance and their personal experiences on their journey toward becoming connected, character-rich, confident and competent men in their communities. SNL at Gerry Clubhouse is the perfect place to experience BCNY’s four Cs in action. Join us!
